1st Annual Progressive Barn Party 6pm
on the Concourse in the Seven Feathers Arena
So what is a Progressive Barn Party?
It is a great way to mingle with your horse show friends and family, trade stories and share great food and beverages. Each barn brings enough food or beverages to cover their people and, ideally, enough for twenty more. Everybody walks around the concourse and, of course, talks about who has the best food or beverages. We will have a table provided for each barn and we encourage you to have a barn sign and decorate your table so your culinary skills can be appreciated by all. For those not affiliated with a specific barn we will have a table for you also to show off your culinary skills, don’t be afraid to one up the barns. It is most fun when everyone participates. We want everyone to have a great time.
What makes for a great Progressive Barn Party?
First as we mentioned above enough food or beverages for your barn and twenty more people. This doesn’t have to be expensive, just get creative.
Get creative with food ideas.
Sample ideas: Corn on the cob, Greek Salad, Dessert Pizza, Cookies, Cesar Salad, Cake and Champagne, Cheese and Crackers platters, Tri Tip, Pizza, Tortillas, Tacos, Ribs, Fruit platters, Strawberries with white and dark chocolate, Chicken Wings, Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, Watermelon, Chips and salsa, Green Salad, Spinach Salad, Sub sandwiches, Chili. Ice Cream Bars, Root Beer Floats. Beer, Wine or Margaritas etc. Kid friendly and adult friendly are always good ways to go. Get creative and have fun with it. Also remember paper plates, napkins, utensils etc.
